BBC Radio Derby to provide commentary for the Ewe Rams

BBC Sport Derby will provide exclusive commentary on 15 Derby County Women matches this season, free for fans to tune into to follow the team.

The coverage comes as a brilliant step forward for the side, as the commentary will cover all 12 away fixtures in the National League Northern Premier Division and three of the Ewes’ home matches.

The first game to be covered will be this weekend as Derby take on visitors Burnley FC Women in the first FAWNL Northern Premier League at the Don Amott Arena.

Kicking off at 2pm on Sunday 21st, fans will be able to follow along with each attack and last-ditch tackle on the BBC Sport website and app, where it will remain throughout the season.

The first and last home games of the season will have coverage alongside the away matches, as well as the highly anticipated clash with Nottingham Forest in March which will take to the turf at Pride Park, another momentous occasion for the side.

The enhanced coverage is being celebrated around the club after a summer of women’s football which has seen many grow a desire to follow their local side.
