No More Than They Deserve”, Ewe Rams CEO Delighted at Punjabi Rams National Award Recognition

Derby County supporter group the Punjabi Rams have been named winners of the ‘Fans For Diversity’ award at the annual National Football Supporters Association awards.

Ewe Rams CEO, Duncan Gibb, spoke to DCFCW media, paying tribute to the work that the group have done in uniting supporters and encouraging diversity.

“Our relationship with the Punjabi Rams is well documented and goes back to 2016 when we decided to assist in raising their profile by placing their logo onto our first team shirts and on the Derby County FC Women shirts worn by the dozens of match day staff at the main DCFC pub, The Merlin on Pride Park.

"I’d become aware of their organisation and what they were looking to achieve and having got to know a few of their committee members I felt that it aligned nicely to our own core values.

“Whilst placing their logo onto the shirts played a part in raising awareness of them as a supporter group, it’s been their deeds that have cemented them as an integral part of not just the Rams supporter family, but the wider national supporter network.

"They are an absolute credit to a game that is nothing without its fans, and the award is no more than they deserve.”
